A second NFC North team is unveiled in today’s power rankings article. The Lions were revealed as the 30th-ranked team a few short weeks ago, and now it is time for the Chicago Bears dissection as the 27th-ranked team following the Eagles and Dolphins in recent days.
While the 2021 NFL season is still months away, it is never too early to prepare for the fantasy season. Today, I am going to give three bold fantasy predictions for the Chicago Bears in 2021.
Bears General Manager, Ryan Pace, was all about making moves in the 2021 draft. In fact, outside of the compensatory picks, the Bears did not draft from their original draft position in any of the seven rounds of the draft. They were all acquired during trades. The Bears had seven total picks after trading up twice in the first two rounds and trading back in round six. In moving up, they lost their first and fourth-round pick in 2022. Pace definitely made a splash in this year’s draft.
There have been plenty of receivers taken on day three that produced in their rookie season. Ihmir Smith-Marsette is a great example of this in the 2021 class.
After starting the season 5-1, the Chicago Bears then lost six games in a row. That put head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace on the hot seat. However, after the six-game skid, they rallied back and finished the season 8-8 for the second year in a row. With the expanded playoff field, the Bears made the playoffs but were eliminated by the New Orleans Saints by a score of 21-9.
