As week ten becomes a distant memory and a Thursday night matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns looms on the horizon, let’s take a look at some of the best rookie performances from the past weekend. We saw several offensive skill position players flash while some defensive rookies proved the critics wrong. Who were the top dogs last week? Who has the best odds this weekend? Another week of the NFL has passed and with the trade deadline headlining most of this week, it’s time to turn our attention back to what we saw over the weekend. Several offensive young guns have emerged back onto the scene and several defensive studs have continued their early dominance. One player is even making a case for Defensive Player of the Year. Who rose up to the challenge? Who fell short? Find out in this week’s edition of the Rookie Rankings. As always, let’s start with a couple of honorable mentions.
At 2-3-1, division and/or playoff hopes seem far-fetched. Not many teams, if any, come back from 2-5 (or 2-4-1) to play meaningful football in January. But, .500 teams after week eight still have a chance, and the Lions had a chance to get back into the race with that record.
One of my favorite activities to take part in at bars, other than drinking, of course, is playing darts. Throwing darts takes precision aim, but if you hit the bullseye or triple-20 you’re sitting very pretty. It’s the same concept when it comes to taking down large field tournaments otherwise known as GPPs. Sometimes you have to get a little weird and go off the radar. You don’t have to get a ton of these guys in your lineup, but one or two could be incredibly beneficial. It could also fail miserably. But if you’re playing in a tournament like the Milly Maker on DraftKings, you’re going to need to get creative and use at least one low-owned player. Without further ado, let’s get to some Dart Throws that might help us take home a ton of money.
