Updates have been released in the last 24 hours regarding the contract situations with a pair of Chargers stars: running back Melvin Gordon and quarterback Philip Rivers. Andersen Pickard has the latest.
The 2018 season for the Los Angeles Chargers and Head Coach Anthony Lynn was a pleasant surprise for Charger fans. Despite missing the playoffs and finishing the 2017 season 9-7, expectations were high for the Chargers and they certainly met them. In 2018, the offense and defense both clicked which culminated in a 12-4 finish and seven Pro Bowlers. Reminder: You can’t carry over your Free Agent Aquisition Budget (FAAB) or turn it into real cash and take it with you. There is a real possibility that some of the following studs are available in your league and you must spend every nickel you have to acquire them. For those deeper leagues where the studs below are all taken, there are still some hidden gems out there to strengthen your squad for that final championship run. Spend that money because the time to lay it all on the line is now. The following waiver wire adds reflect a $100 FAAB.
The Los Angeles Chargers are currently 6-2 and one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. They have a good defensive team and an explosive offense led by Philip Rivers. DE Joey Bosa is set to return soon and adding an elite player like Bosa to a defense that allows just 18 points a game is scary.
Everyone loves season long fantasy football. However, daily fantasy football has becomes bigger and bigger over the last few years. Unlike in season long leagues, fantasy owners have to build a line up using a salary cap. The best way to build those line ups is to find good value players in order to spend big on top end players. Below I have put together seven players under $6,000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel that fantasy owners should take a look at in week two.
