Today we will look at our values on the offensive side of the ball. All of our hitters are priced under $4,000 on DraftKings and will provide excellent ROI so you can invest more salary into the high-priced pitching that is on the seven-game slate starting at 7:00 pm ET. Let’s get to it on this slugger Saturday for MLB DFS.
***All Prices Are DraftKings***
On the Dirt
Christian Walker – 1B – $4,000
The Diamondbacks first baseman just returned from a stint on the IL on Tuesday. He has had a hit in each of the three games since. While Walker is hitting a mere .196 with just a single home run, he has gotten unlucky with a .243 BABIP so far this season. He gets to face Joey Lucchesi who has been downright awful for the New York Mets this year. The southpaw sports an ugly 10.13 ERA and hitters have a 1.042 OPS against him. He is my Home Run call tonight.
Alec Bohm – 3B – $3,200
The Phillies’ third baseman may be the unluckiest hitter in the league so far. Despite a hard hit rate over 50 percent and an exit velocity nearly 5 mph over the MLB average, Bohm still has a lowly .271 BABIP. With eight hits (two HRs) in his last seven games, plan on his luck turning around against Ian Anderson. In two starts earlier this season against Philadelphia, the Braves’ righty surrendered three HRs in 10.1 innings.
Nick Madrigal – 2B – $2,700
The White Sox second baseman may not have any power but this price is very low. He also offers a solid floor to your lineup. Madrigal has only gone hitless in five of the 25 games he’s started this season. He is also 9-for-21 against lefties and faces Daniel Lynch who is making just his second start in the MLB. Lock him in especially in cash games.
On the Grass
Andrew Benintendi – $3,600
Don’t look now but Benintendi is on an 11-game hitting streak. During that time he is batting .405 with a couple of bombs and a couple of swipes. He gets Lance Lynn tonight who is making his second start after a brief stint on the IL. Benny has had good success against Chicago’s big right-hander, going 6-for-18 with two doubles and a triple.
Hunter Renfroe – $3,000
Since the calendar turned to May, Renfroe has seven RBI in six games and has blasted a couple of taters. He will be facing lefty Zac Lowther who has exactly one inning of major league experience. With Renfroe looking to prove that he deserves the playing time, he will continue to produce and $3,000 is cheap enough to get him in a few of your GPPs.
Good Luck Everyone.
