Every offseason we get reports of more and more notable players on the trade block. This year is no different. Even though the NFL offseason may look different due to the coronavirus, that does not mean that high profile players will not get traded. Here are six players that could possibly change jerseys this offseason.
Josh Rosen, QB, Miami Dolphins
No one has had worse luck in terms of playing situations than Rosen. Being a top 10 pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Rosen seemed to be the future of the Cardinals. Then Arizona got a new head coach and they drafted Kyler Murray first overall in the 2019 NFL draft and Rosen was traded to the Miami Dolphins. Once again the team he plays for drafted a quarterback in the top five. The Dolphins recently selected Tua Tagovailoa fifth overall in the 2020 NFL draft. Miami has received calls for Rosen but has no interest in trading him right now, although it is only a matter of time until he is traded.
Jamal Adams, SAF, New York Jets
The Adams and Jets saga is one of the most talked about storylines in the NFL currently. One day they are talking about a new contract extension and the next day the contract talks fall through and the Jets are taking calls on Adams. Even though Joe Douglas has stated that the Jets do not and have no plans to trade Adams. This could change if the two sides do not come close to an extension and Adams refuses to play under the franchise tag. The Jets could look to trade Adams instead of letting him walk freely in free agency.

Duke Johnson, RB, Houston Texans
The Texans traded for David Johnson this offseason and it shook the entire NFL world. The Texans also have Duke on their roster. Having two starting caliber running backs is a common theme for teams but most of the time they have different play styles. This is not the case for the Texans. Both David and Duke have similar play styles. Both backs can run the ball but also excel out of the backfield. This could make Duke extendable so Houston can look to add a back that compliments David a little better.
Mason Rudolph, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Once Ben Roethlisberger went down last season, everyone thought the Steelers season was over. Rudolph took over the team and he started eight games while appearing in 10. Rudolph was doing an average job until the incident with Myles Garrett happened. The following week, Rudolph was benched in favor of Devlin Hodges due to his performance. This offseason the Steelers signed Paxton Lynch and also have J.T. Barrett under contract. Trading Rudolph could make sense in the late stages of training camp if he can not put up a fight for the backup role in Pittsburgh.
Hakeem Butler, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Last year the Cardinals drafted Butler in hopes of becoming their next red zone threat. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a hand injury and never saw regular-season action. Now that the Cardinals acquired DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, Butler could be the odd man out. Standing at 6’5″, Butler could become another option for a team looking to add a big-bodied receiver. Even though Butler has never played in a regular-season game, he could still fetch a decent draft pick since he is fairly young and on his rookie deal.

Kerryon Johnson, RB, Detriot Lions
With the Lions drafted D’Andre Swift in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, it seems like the Lions still consider running back a big need. Even though the Lions may want to keep Johnson, they consider Swift the future of that position. Just like Johnson and Johnson’s situation in Houston, both Swift and KJ have similar running styles. With Detriot having power backs Bo Scarbrough and Wes Hills, Johnson could be the next running back traded.
