Should the Packers go after Antonio Brown?

The Green Bay Packers’ offense lacked firepower in the 2018 season and will add another wide receiver in the offseason, for sure.

But could it be Antonio Brown?

The Packers are one of the teams in prime position to trade for Brown, but should they do it?

With 10 picks in a loaded wide receiver draft class, the Packers have the option to go younger and cheaper if they wanted to. They could pick Hollywood Brown, Antonio’s cousin, with the Saints’ first-round pick, which is what the Packers would likely have to trade before Antonio would even agree to go to Green Bay in the first place.

The elder Brown is 31-years old and might demand a lot in order to trade for him. He also might not be the type of guy the Packers want on their team with all the off-the-field drama.

However, if the Packers are serious about contending this upcoming season, this move would be perfect for them.

Brown has already said he believes Aaron Rodgers is the GOAT, while Rodgers prefers working with already-developed players. If you have the chance to grab an All-Pro receiver who had 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns to put on an offense alongside Rodgers, Aaron Jones, and DaVante Adams, you should do it.

The rewards outweigh the risks in this situation.

If the Packers want Rodgers to win another Super Bowl before he retires, they should make this move. The Packers should wait to see what other teams offer, and if a team offers an early second rounder, Green Bay could jump and offer the Saints first-round pick.

However, some think he could come at the price of a third- or a fourth-rounder, so if the Packers were even thinking about adding him for a first-round pick, they should definitely make a move and forfeit their third- or fourth-round selection.
