We only have six games on the 7 pm slate tonight. The values and overall choices are few and far between. However, there are some Saturday slingers and swingers to get in your lineups to save a little money and maximize our returns.
***All Prices Are DraftKings***
On the Bump
Chris Bassitt – $7,800 at Los Angeles Angels
Although his last outing broke a streak of five quality starts in a row, Bassitt wasn’t bad. During the previous five games, the Oakland right-hander had an impressive 42/4 K/BB rate with a 2.81 ERA and only allowed two home runs in 32 innings. He gets to face the Angels tonight who are without Mike Trout. If he can work around Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh, the rest of the lineup is a piece of cake.
Shane McClanahan – $7,300 – at Toronto Blue Jays
The young lefty got his first major-league win a week ago against the first-place New York Mets. He also has a solid 22/5 K/BB rate in just 17.1 innings pitched. While the Blue Jays have been scoring runs, they also are losers of three in a row. McClanahan is a GPP play with his strikeout upside and the lack of solid arms on the slate tonight.
On the Dirt
Paul Goldschmidt – 1B – $3,900
This is about the time of year Goldy gets hot. He started 2019 hitting .254 up until May 21 and wound up batting over .300. He has a .253 average and hasn’t walked at his usual 14 percent rate but it is time to jump on him tonight. He is my Home Run call of the night.
Brandon Crawford – SS – $3,600
So Crawford has 11 bombs this year and is only 10 away from a career-high. Tonight he has a tough opponent in Walker Buehler but the Los Angeles right-hander has given up at least one bomb in six of his eight starts. Crawford has found the power stroke and the wind will be blowing out to right-center tonight at Oracle Park. Here is another HR call for you.
On the Grass
Dylan Carlson – $2,800
It is still unbelievable to me that Carlson is under $3,000. You just need to lock him in every night until he cools off or prices himself out of value-mode. He is 7-for-16 in his last four games and has an .809 OPS this year. Get him in there.
