Wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, one of the Raiders’ first-round picks, has had an unfortunate incident in which he was pinned between two vehicles and punctured his thigh.
The Raiders have released a statement saying they respect Ruggs’ privacy and have no further comment at this time. His femoral artery was an inch away from being hit.
New #Raiders WR Henry Ruggs was involved in an off-the-field accident helping a friend move. I’m told “he’s OK” and while he was apparently cut or received a puncture, the wound is not serious. https://t.co/Inz4dFDxvA

Ruggs’ father confirmed that he is alright.
Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III's father tells https://t.co/b2tVTWhA9B of his thigh injury “He’s pretty much OK… It was just like a little open wound on his leg, a little incision. Like something had stuck him right there on his thigh a little bit.” https://t.co/9GLZHDZhBL

Ruggs is one of the fastest and most talented receivers in the 2020 draft class. He was drafted a bit earlier than expected at 12th overall, which may have been a product of his 4.27-second 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine.
Ruggs brings speed, versatility, and reliability to a Raiders offense that’s trying to put together a unit to compete with the Chiefs in 2020. He’ll open up the middle of the field and pose a huge over-the-top threat to the defenses of the AFC West.
