Report: Patriots Trade for Tight End

The New England Patriots addressed their weakest position.

According to Detroit reporter Justin Rogers, the team is swapping a seventh round selection for tight end Michael Roberts.

Roberts, 25, was drafted in the fourth round by the Detroit Lions out of Toledo.

The former Lion recorded nine receptions for 100 yards and three scores before going down with a shoulder injury in December.

Considering how thin the depth is at tight end, Roberts has a realistic chance as of now to make the team but it would not be surprising if drastic measures were taken to shore up the position.
