The New England Patriots will be starting the season shorthanded.
Per Adam Schefter, Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson is reportedly facing a four-game suspension after he failed a drug test.
Patriots’ tight end Benjamin Watson wrote on Facebook that he is facing a four-game suspension for a failed test in March of the NFL’s substances policy.

Watson, 38, returned the Patriots after nine seasons away with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints.
The tight end issued an announcement in regards to his impending suspension via social media.

The remaining tight ends who will be available the first four weeks of the season are Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Stephen Anderson, Ryan Izzo, Matt LaCosse, and Andrew Beck.
