Report: Patriots Tackle Cleared to Play

After a year filled with struggle, New England Patriots tackle Antonio “Tony” Garcia has finally been cleared to play after suffering a serious ailment that kept him out for the entirety of his rookie season.

98.5 The Sports Hub tweeted a link to Garcia’s Instagram where he himself confirmed that he was indeed cleared to play this coming season.

Garcia (24) after being picked at No.85 in the draft, dealt with blood clots the entire 2017 season and reportedly lost 40 pounds over the course of the illness duration.

The Troy product has an uphill battle ahead of him getting back into playing shape and becoming an option for the Patriots at tackle after the departure of Nate Solder.
