Bennett released a statement as well apologizing for his behavior.
“On Friday, I had a philosophical disagreement with my position coach that has led to my suspension,” Bennett said to ESPN’s Jordan Schultz. “I apologize to my teammates for any distraction this may have caused.”
Bennett played less than 20 snaps this past outing against the New York Giants with Chase Winovich steadily taking up the workload in recent weeks.
