The New England Patriots are continuing their activity in free agency signing wide receiver Jordan Matthews to a one-year deal.

NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted the news within the hour.

Matthews (25), was drafted in the second round by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014 catching over 60 passes in three straight seasons before being traded to Buffalo. Matthews went down with a knee injury just as he was becoming an integral part of their offense.

This move comes a days after the Patriots traded away Brandin Cooks who was Matthews’ compatriot in that Draft.
