The New England Patriots are adding depth at one of their weakest positions.
Per Ian Rapoport the Super Bowl champions are reportedly signing tight end Lance Kendricks.
The #Patriots are adding some tight end help before training camp, signing TE Lance Kendricks, source said. He had 19 catches for the #Packers last year and will assist in filling the Rob Gronkowski void.

Kendricks, 31, was drafted by the then St. Louis Rams in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. During his time in St.Louis and Los Angeles, the Wisconsin alum totaled 204 receptions for 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He signed with the Green Bay Packers as a free agent in 2017 and played in Wisconsin the previous two seasons totaling only 37 receptions and two touchdowns.
With the suspension of Ben Watson, the Patriots are left with Lance Kendricks, Matt LaCosse, Stephen Anderson, Andrew Beck, and Ryan Izzo at the position.
