Report: Patriots Sign Quarterback

The New England Patriots have finally added a quarterback.

Per Ian Rapoport, the team has signed J’Mar Smith as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech.

Smith, 23, played well as a sophomore appearing in 13 games throwing for 2974 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.

In his junior season, Smith’s play dipped as his interception total doubled with 10 in contrast to 15 touchdown passes.

He had his best season as a senior in his last season at Louisiana Tech passing for 2,814 yards, 18 touchdown passes and five interceptions. He was a first-team all-conference selection as well.
