Report: Patriots Sign Offensive Lineman, Michel and Cannon Injured

The New England Patriots are still trying to improve their offense as the team recently announced that they have signed offensive lineman Brian Schwenke.

Schwenke (27), was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round with the pick No. 107 has played in 57 total games starting in 30 of them.

Schwenke played both right and left guard at the University of California, Berkeley and that may have been a key reason as to why Bill Belichick signed the lineman as the Patriots head coach loves players who can play more than one position.

This is a depth move made for offensive line that give the New England Patriots starting experience behind their first team and insurance for any injuries possibly sustained at the guard and center position.

The injuries aren’t stopping with Jordan Matthews as first-round selection Sony Michel was injured during today’s practice.

The injury was said to have been to sustained during a team drill and according to Patriots ESPN reporter Mike Reiss, the rookie running back walked off under his own power.

The same goes for former All-Pro tackle Marcus Cannon who also sustained an injury at camp today.

However Patriots fans should breathe a sigh of relief as according yet again to Reiss, the injury is not related to the ankle injury that sent him to injured reserve last season and is deemed minor.
