The New England Patriots are not done fortifying their defense.

Per Field Yates, the team has reportedly agreed to an extension with Danny Shelton.

Shelton, 25, was selected with pick No.12 of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns traded him to the Patriots before the 2018 season and went on to win a Super Bowl with his new team.

The Washington alum is known for his ability to stop the run. This is an important signing for the team as they lost another defensive tackle Malcom Brown to the New Orleans Saints.
