Report: Patriots Players Welcome New Teammate, Fans Lash out at Harrison

These past 24 hours have been shocking for fans of the AFC’s two best teams to say the least.

The minute it was announced that former Pittsburgh Steelers all-time sack leader James Harrison would be signing with rival New England Patriots, it wasn’t just fans who were bonkers about the move.

Patriots players took to twitter to voice their excitement about Harrison joining their squad.

Tyler Sullivan tweeted a photo of two of the Patriot’s biggest names quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Julian Edelman replying to Harrison’s Instagram post with much enthusiasm.

Running back Dion Lewis was one of the more vocal members as he shared excitement while also had a few laughs.

Fellow linebacker Kyle Van Noy wasn’t as spoken on social media but more shocked than anything else.

As expected, Steelers fans were not particularly pleased, some labeling the move as just plain ignorant.

The Patriots and Steelers will be playing for home-field advantage this coming Sunday in the last week of the NFL regular season.

  1. You released this guy 3 times, hardly played him this year, and let him go right before Xmas. Good for him still wanting to play, if things were reversed Pitt would have done the same thing. It’s a business, and your organization showed 0 in loyalty. Pats have nothing for depth at linebacker, so why wouldn’t they???
