New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi and his wife were sent to the hospital after being involved in a three-way car accident on Friday.
Langi (25), went undrafted and made the Patriots 53-man roster as a special teams and rotational player on defense.
The Patriots organization has made a statement on the events that happened that night.
“We are aware of the traffic accident involving Harvey Langi and a passenger last night in Foxborough,” the Patriots said in a statement released on Saturday afternoon. “The two were stopped at a traffic light when they were rear ended by another vehicle. They were both transported to a local hospital with injuries and are receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with Harvey, the Langi family and those who sustained injuries in last night’s accident.”
Not much is known about the extent of the injuries but what can be said now is that the injuries are not deemed to be life threatening.
Langi has already been ruled out in this week’s matchup against the New York Jets.
