Report: Patriots Make Decision on Burkhead

Reinforcements are on the way for the New England Patriots’ backfield as the team reportedly activated Rex Burkhead off of injured reserve.

ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates confirmed the news on his Twitter account.

Burkhead signed a three-year contract extension with the team in March and was in line to have a big role in the backfield for sustaining a neck injury against the Detroit Lions in week three.
