The New England Patriots have a logjam at wide receiver and the team may be making a move to trim some of the fat.
According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, the New England Patriots are indeed looking for an organization interested in a trade for wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell.
The #Patriots have been seeking a potential trade partner for WR Malcolm Mitchell, per sources. Flashed talent with 32 catches in 2016 but injuries have been frustrating. May be odd man out in New England, even with Julian Edelman’s suspension.

According to Pelissero, the Patriots have signed wide receiver Devin Lucien whom they drafted in the seventh-round of the same class as Mitchell.
The team currently has a multitude of veterans and younger receivers vying for a spot at the position that have impressed in offseason training activities which include Cordarrelle Patterson, Riley McCarron and Braxton Berrios.
