The New England Patriots aren’t done trying to add talent to their offensive line as the team is reportedly looking to deal for tackle Trent Brown.
Pro Football Talk confirms the talks in a piece written within the hour.
“Per a league source, the 49ers and Patriots are talking about a trade that would send tackle Trent Brown to New England.”
Brown (25) was picked in the seventh round at pick No. 244 in the 2015 NFL Draft. He impressed great players like All-Pro and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller early on with his play.
“He’s the best right tackle in the National Football League,” Miller said at joint practices last August. “And he may even be a top-five tackle, period, in the National Football League. There’s not another tackle who’s that tall, that big and can move the way he moves.”
The Florida alum started all 16 games in the 2016 season and started 10 more in 2017 before being placed on injured reserve.
