Report: Patriots Interested in Special Teams Ace

The New England Patriots are not done upgrading their special teams as news has broke that the team is reportedly interested in former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Marcus Easley.

Reporter Aaron Wilson tweeted the news early this afternoon.

Easley broke his knee in multiple places in 2015 and since then has not played in an NFL game.

With only three receptions for 7 yards and a touchdown, Easley’s strong suit has always been the third phase of the game where he has recorded 50 tackles and has caused two forced fumbles.

Easley has also visited the Pittsburgh Steelers and with the Patriots interested in the 30-year old, it could be yet another sign that fan-favorite Matthew Slater may be on his way out.
