The New England Patriots seem to be in the running to bring back a player very familiar to fans.

The team has reportedly contacted the representatives of running back Danny Woodhead in an attempt to reunite with their former running back.

NFL reporter Mike Garafolo tweeted the news and the fact that the team is also competing with the Atlanta Falcons for the 33-year old’s services.

Woodhead was an undrafted free agent coming out of Chadron State playing for the Patriots as well as the New York Jets, San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers, and the Baltimore Ravens.
