In a year that looks to be mirroring 2004, New England Patriots’ defensive coordinator Matt Patricia is expected to accept the Detroit Lions’ head coaching job in light of the vacancy left by Jim Caldwell.
According to a piece written by Mike Florio, the Patriots are preparing to lose their coordinator to the NFC North team.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Patriots are bracing for defensive coordinator Matt Patricia to leave, most likely to become the next coach of the Detroit Lions.
There have also been multiple outlets to get out tweets confirming the high probability of Patricia moving to Detroit.
