Report: Patriots Bring Back Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots struck a deal late on Wednesday night, as they re-signed wide receiver, Phillip Dorsett.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport took to Twitter to confirm that New England had indeed made this signing.

Dorsett, 26, a former first-round selection out of the University of Miami, was trusted early on by quarterback Tom Brady before the team traded for Josh Gordon.

While Dorsett has never lived to his billing, he has shown signs of surehandedness when the Patriots have needed it the most.

Since becoming official, Phillip Dorsett joins a wide receiver room that includes Julian Edelman, Braxton Berrios, Phillip Dorsett, and Damoun Patterson as the only legitimate receivers under contract.
