The New England Patriots have added depth to their tight end group.
Per Mike Reiss, the team acquired third-year tight end Eric Saubert from the Atlanta Falcons.

Saubert, 25, was drafted in the fifth round by the Falcons in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Drake University.
In his rookie season, he played in 14 games for the Falcons but did not record any receptions or statistics.
He comes to Foxboro with a career total of five receptions for 48 yards and no touchdowns. The team now has Benjamin Watson, Matt LaCosse, Ryan Izzo, Stephen Anderson, Andrew Beck, Lance Kendricks, and Saubert at tight end.
