Today, the oldest player in the National Football League made the decision to stick around a little bit longer.

New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colt great Adam Vinatieri agreed to a one-year contract with Colts, according to NFL reporter Adam Schefter.

Coming back for another season, Vinatieri looks to pass all-time great placekicker Morten Andersen’s records for most field goals and most points all-time.

Vinatieri, with his 2,487 points trails Andersen’s 2,544 but will more than likely be broken this season. Finally, with 559 field goals, Vinatieri only is eight away from breaking Andersen’s record of 565 made field goals.
