The Panthers have added to their quarterback depth. They are taking a shot at an XFL star, becoming the first team to sign an XFL product. Quarterback PJ Walker is reportedly in agreement with the Carolina Panthers.
I was told the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals also had very strong interest in P.J. Walker.

Walker, 25, went undrafted in 2017 and landed on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad from 2017 to 2019 before becoming a high pick of the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL draft.
The 2020 XFL season was canceled following growing concerns about COVID-19. Walker finished the 2020 season with a 5-0 record, 1,338 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, plus four interceptions. He led the league in both passing touchdowns and passing yards.
In October, the Steelers made an attempt to sign Walker but the XFL blocked the signing because he was under contract for the 2020 season.
Walker stands at 5-foot-11 and 214 pounds. Scouts see some similarities between him and Lamar Jackson but obviously the talent level is not in the same ballpark.
This is a low-risk, high-reward move for the Panthers.
