Report: Josh Gordon to Apply For Reinstatement

Josh Gordon, the wide receiver who has been suspended since December, is applying for reinstatement.

The former supplemental round draft pick from 2012 is hoping to return to the playing field for training camp. He has been working out and staying in shape since his indefinite suspension came down last December for banned substance use––his fifth suspension.

Before the suspension, the 29-year-old had stints in Cleveland, New England, and then a very brief one in Seattle. Gordon has 247 career receptions, north of 4,000 yards, and 20 receiving touchdowns. He also received a Super Bowl ring for the 2019 season despite getting suspended.

As previously mentioned, Gordon has had his fair share of suspensions, even struggling to get reinstated from 2013 to 2017.

At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, Gordon’s speed and size have made him one of the more daunting receivers in the league. His services will undoubtedly be sought after despite his mental health and drug issues.
