In a season that started full of promise with a new blockbuster contract, appears to be crashing down as now 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sustained an injury on a run to the sideline.
Garoppolo made the last second decision to cut inside which was the culprit for what is assumed to be a torn ACL.

Garoppolo signed a five-year $137.5 million contract which promised $74.1 million in guaranteed money.
Garoppolo’s injury opens the door for sophomore quarterback C.J. Beathard who was benched for Garoppolo in the middle of last season.
In addition to Garoppolo, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Aqib Talib sustained an ankle injury against their compatriot Los Angeles Chargers.
Jason La Canfora tweeted the news as Talib joined Marcus Peters with an injury.
