Report: Former First-Round Pick Pondering Return to NFL

Just one day after Rob Gronkowski made news by coming out of retirement to return to the football field, another un-retirement could be in the works.

According to Josina Anderson of ESPN, former first-round pick Percy Harvin says that he’s ready to return to the NFL.

Similar to many retired players, the wideout still has the itch to play and is trying to come back. Harvin has been training and he’s feeling good, and he feels the timing is right.

A speedy receiver with great hands, Harvin spent nine seasons in the NFL after being selected 22nd overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2009 NFL Draft.

In addition to the team that drafted him, the wide receiver spent time with the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and the Seattle Seahawks. He was a member of the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks team.

The 2009 Offensive Rookie of the Year was placed on the non-football illness list on Dec. 5, 2016.

Harvin joins a growing list of wide receivers that are looking to get back into the NFL. The list includes former Cowboy Dez Bryant, indefinitely-suspended wideout Josh Gordon, and disgruntled receiver Antonio Brown.
