A press conference has just been announced for Friday as two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning will formally announce his retirement from the NFL.
The 16-year veteran lost his starting job in favor of rookie Daniel Jones early this past season, passing the torch and making the transition.
Manning had said he wouldn’t play for another team, mainly because he didn’t want to uproot his family from New Jersey.

There is much debate if Manning will end up in Canton. Even if you’re not a fan of the New York Giants, you have to respect him. 16 years with the same team. Numerous head coaching and offensive coordinator changes. Two Super Bowl victories, both against the New England Patriots, as huge underdogs. Respectful about the team’s decision to start Jones and doing what he could to mentor him.
Eli Manning was a class act across the board.
