Report: Defensive End Released

Another defensive end has bid farewell to New England.

Adrian Clayborn who played a role as a situational rusher for the team, published a statement via his Twitter account thanking the organization following his release .

Clayborn played in 14 games and started in only one. His two and a half sacks paled in comparison to his nine and a half sack season in 2017.

The Patriots released Clayborn in all likelihood because of his $5,937,500 cap hit he would have caused. There was a potential out at the end of this past season and because of his disappointing play, the team chose that route.
