Report: Colts, Philip Rivers Finalizing Deal

The Indianapolis Colts are signing quarterback Philip Rivers, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

A much-awaited and somewhat expected domino to fall in this quarterback carousel, the long-time Chargers signal-caller will be heading to Indianapolis and reuniting with some familiar faces.

Colts head coach Frank Reich and offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni both spent time on the Chargers’ staff in recent years. Sirianni was an offensive assistant for five seasons and Reich was part of the staff from 2013 to 2015. After all, 2013 was a year that featured great success for Rivers, as he threw 32 touchdowns and posted a QBR of 75.3.

With Rivers now at the helm, this raises questions regarding what the Colts will do with Jacoby Brissett. Does he have a future still? Will he be traded? What will the Colts do in the draft? Do they take a Jordan Love or Jacob Eason if either of them are available?

Yes, we know the answer to who the Colts starting quarterback will be in 2020, but with that being answered, more questions follow it.
