The All-Star immediately headed to the locker room, and the team later reported the severity shortly after the second half got underway.

Just a few nights removed from dropping a career-high 39 points against Cleveland, this injury is a devastating blow to Hayward and the Celtics alike. Hayward is one of three Celtics averaging at least 20 points to start this season, and has also achieved what would be career-high’s in rebounds as well as assists.
Boston is now missing Hayward and Enes Kanter for the near future, though Kanter should be set to return sometime during their current road trip.
