In a Celtics press conference following the tough ending of their season last night in Game 7, Aron Baynes shocked everyone saying he recently suffered a broken nose.
The injury came in Game 6 when Cleveland evened the series at three games apiece with a109-99victory. With the entire offseason to have surgery and recover, Baynes will undoubtedly be ready to go by next season.
In his first season with the Celtics, the 6-foot-10 center averaged six points, and either tied or set new career-highs in rebounds, blocks, assists, and steals. He hauled in 5.4 rebounds a game, which was vital to Boston’s success after being a horrendous rebounding team last season.
Baynes was one of the few Celtics that remained relatively healthy over the course of the season. He played in every postseason game, and only missed one game in the regular season.
