Real Madrid Defeats Eintracht Frankfurt in UEFA Super Cup

UEFA Super Cup

For the first time since 2017, Real Madrid has hoisted the UEFA Super Cup. With a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, Los Blancos win their fifth UEFA Super Cup, becoming the third club to win the title for the fifth time. They join Barcelona and Inter Milan in that regard.

For the time being, Real Madrid remains unstoppable. Los Blancos are coming off a fantastic season, winning their 14th UEFA Champions League, as well as their 35th La Liga title and 12th Supercopa de España. Eintracht Frankfurt won the UEFA Europa League, meaning they’re competing in this season’s Champions League tournament. Real Madrid is looking to defend and retain their title.

Karim Benzema is now Real Madrid’s second-highest scorer. He has 324 goals for the club and still has a long way to way to go to catch up to Cristiano Ronaldo‘s record of 450. At 34 years old, Benzema remains in top form and is still a unique and prolific goalscorer. In Benzema’s case, age is merely just a number.

With the amount of talent, the club would love nothing more than to rule La Liga and the Champions League with an iron fist.
