For the first time this season, the Miami Heat have won two consecutive games. As expected, the Heat were in an early dogfight against the Toronto Raptors. However, Miami picked up their defense and pulled away in the end. The Heat held the Raptors to six-of-21 shooting in the fourth period. With the win, Miami moves to 6-7 for the season.
Here are my three takeaways from Wednesday’s win over Toronto.
Nunn better
The game ball goes to Kendrick Nunn. After scoring 18 on Monday, Nunn followed it up with his best basketball performance of the season, scoring 13 points in the second quarter and 10 in the third. Most importantly, he read the court well by making timely passes. This was Nunn’s second double-digit scoring game of the season.

Nunn finished with 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists
Bam overcomes early struggles
It was a quiet first half for Bam Adebayo, he wasn’t as aggressive as he was on Monday. Bam played more as facilitator even when he had smaller players on him. He only had four points at halftime. However, Bam turned it up in the fourth quarter and recorded another double-double.

Adebayo closed with 15 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists.
Iguodala contributes off the bench
Outside of Nunn, another bench player who made an impact was Andre Iguodala. Iguodala hit on a couple of threes and had plenty key defensive stops. He was very active at the top of the Heat’s zone defense, which gave Toronto fits. Overall, it was a solid night for the veteran forward.
Iguodala finished with 13 points, two blocks, and a steal.
