The Ravens made their first receiver addition of the offseason by signing former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Seth Roberts to a one-year deal.
This will be the second straight season the Ravens picked up on a former Raiders receiver. Last season, the Ravens picked up wide receiver Michael Crabtree expecting a big play-maker, but he was released after only a season.
Roberts is not one of your 1,000-yards a year player, but what he brings to the Ravens is good ball security and durability. In four seasons with the Raiders, he has had two fumbles and missed only two games. In seven starts last season, he recorded 45 receptions for 494 yards, averaging 11 yards per reception with two touchdowns.
