We have four games on the slate for Tuesday afternoon, including the fixture between West Ham United and Crystal Palace. We’ll also get a Northern clash between Leeds United and New Castle United F.C. It’s a match that should offer plenty of potential for goals scored.
So without further ado, let’s delve into the player options for this upcoming group of matches. I’ve broken down the selections between forward, midfield, defender, goalkeeper, and utility. Included are player salaries from both FanDuel and DK. Best of luck to everyone with their lineups this weekend.
Forward
Michail Antonio (19.00 FD 8,200 DK)
It took Antonio a couple of weeks to get back into game shape following a return from a hamstring injury. However, since then, his production has fallen right back into form. Consider that over the previous pair of matches, Antonio has topped 15 points or more in each of them. He, now, faces a Crystal Palace squad, which granted can be a tough side to score on. However, if you look at their previous six league games, they have conceded three or more goals against Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Liverpool. Additionally, Antonio sits on a two-game goal streak and should continue to be fiercely active.
Only two points shy of Liverpool for fourth in the league table, theirs still plenty on the line for Antonio and this West Ham squad as they attempt to qualify for a spot in the Europa championship.
Midfielder
Jack Harrison (16.00 FD 7,700 DK)
Keep in mind over the course of the season, Harrison has not gone three games without securing at least one point. I believe Harrison can continue keeping the pattern going against New Castle. In fact, it was only six games ago that Harrison bagged both a goal and an assist against this Magpie side. It was his biggest haul of the season currently, racking up 29.8 DK points in total.
I do expect Harrison will do enough in his second meeting to have an all-around solid points day. As stated, previously this game should offer plenty of opportunities in which to pick up points. Both clubs are among the top four when it comes to most goals conceded. As of now, the odds for this match going over 2.5 sits at 8/11.
Defense
Kieran Tierney (14.00 FD 5,700 DK)
Tierney has been exceptional as of late. Consider that over his prior two games, the young Scottish defender has compiled 45 DK points. What makes Tierney such a dangerous fantasy defender is his outright versatility. In last week’s match, for example, Tierney was able to contribute in numerous facets, including most team tackles and second-most crosses. Having been knocked out of the FA Cup to this same Southampton club only a few days ago, I expect Arsenal will come into this upcoming fixture ready to compete.
Goalkeeper
Ederson (14.00 FD 5,900 DK)
Ederson has been performing admirably over his past five games, posting double-digit DK points in each of those meets. He is supported by a Manchester City offense that continues to run like a well-oiled machine. Keep in mind they have combined for ten goals over the prior four league matches. Additionally, West Bromwich has given up two goals or more in their previous four matches.
Costing just 5,900 dollars on DK, Ederson arguably offers one of the best values for Tuesday’s slate. Given the very favorable opponent coupled with the strong numbers, he continues to put up week in, week out. Slot him in as your starter and forget about it.
Utility
Patrick Bamford (21.00 FD 7,700 DK)
Arguably the most dangerous sniper in the premier league when you take into account his shot quality. Consider that Bamford currently ranks first among all league players in shots on target, with an incredible shot accuracy of 53%. If Bamford can muster up a handful of clean shot attempts, I do believe he’ll at the very least hit the target on a couple of those opportunities. Keep in mind the Magpies have conceded 96 shots on target this season. This currently ranks them third-worst among league clubs.
