The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Arlington, Texas on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, to face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Both teams come into Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season with 3-3 records. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 65-51 and have won the last three games. The last time the two teams met was in Dallas last year on Dec. 9.
The Eagles enter Week 7 after losing to Minnesota last week, 38-20. Philadelphia has put up 349.3 offensive yards per game and allowed 353 yards so far this season. Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has completed 131 passes on 214 attempts for 1,458 yards, 12 touchdowns, three interceptions, and a rating of 94.3.
Jordan Howard has 66 carries for 297 yards and four touchdowns, while Zach Ertz has posted 33 receptions for 366 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Graham leads the Eagles with four sacks and Nathan Gerry leads with two interceptions.
Carson Wentz passed for 306 yards, two touchdowns, and a 94.4 rating last week against the Vikings, which was his 15th career game with at least 300 pass yards. In Wentz’s five career starts versus Dallas, he has 10 touchdowns and only one interception. That’s a rating of 100. He is going for his fifth game in a row against Dallas with two or more touchdown passes.
Running back Jordan Howard has recorded four rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown in his past four games and has posted 92 scrimmage yards in his only game versus Dallas.
Miles Sanders had a career-high in receiving yards and his first career touchdown in Week 6 and is looking for his fifth game in a row with 60 or more scrimmage yards.
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery led the Eagles last week with 10 catches, 76 receiving yards and a touchdown against Minnesota. Jeffery is going for his third game in a row against Dallas with a receiving touchdown. He has six receiving touchdowns during his past five games on the road versus NFC East opponents and is hoping to record his sixth on Sunday.
Tight end Zach Ertz had 54 receiving yards in Week 6 and is one of three players in the NFL with 50 or more receiving yards in each of the first six games of the 2019 season. Ertz also has recorded four receiving touchdowns against the Cowboys.
On the defensive side, linebacker Brandon Graham recorded a sack last week and is going for his third game in a row with a sack. In Graham’s last seven games against Dallas, he has posted five-and-half sacks, seven tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox posted one and a half sacks in the teams’ last meeting and has five sacks and seven tackles for a loss in his past four games against NFC East opponents. Defensive end Derek Barnett has recorded two sacks a forced fumble in his only career game against Dallas in 2017. Safety Malcolm Jenkins led the team with eight tackles and a forced fumble last week and is going for his third game in a row against Dallas with seven or more tackles. Also, at safety, Andre Sendejo recorded his seventh career interception last week.
On the other side of the field, the Dallas Cowboys are entering Week 7 with three losses in a row, the last one coming against the New York Jets, 24-22. That gave the Jets their first win. The Dallas offense has recorded 443.7 offensive yards and 331.8 defensive yards so far this season.
Quarterback Dak Prescott has completed 147 of 211 passes for 1,883 yards, 11 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 102.8 rating this year. Ezekiel Elliott has posted 113 carries for 492 yards and five touchdowns, while Amari Cooper, who left the New York game injured, leads the team with 33 catches for 515 yards and five touchdowns.
Defensively, Robert Quinn leads the Cowboys with five sacks and Chidobe Awuzie and Jordan Lewis each have one interception on the season.
Dak Prescott passed for 277 yards and had a rushing touchdown in Week 6. He has 20 rushing touchdowns since 2016, which is the most for a quarterback. In Prescott’s last three games against the Eagles, he is 3-0 with six touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 99.4 rating. Prescott is also 6-0 with 2,075 passing yards and 17 touchdowns, three interceptions, and a 121.3 rating in the last six games versus NFC East opponents.
Running back Ezekiel Elliott had 105 rushing yards and 47 receiving yards plus a touchdown last week against the Jets and has recorded 13 games with 150 or more scrimmage yards and 22 games with 100 or more scrimmage yards since he entered the NFL in 2016. In his four career games against Philadelphia, Elliott has posted 68 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. He is aiming for his fifth game in a row versus the Eagles with 140 or more scrimmage yards.
Wide receiver Amari Cooper had 10 receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns in the last meeting between the two tames. Cooper also has seven touchdown catches in his past five games against NFC East opponents. Cooper has 58 catches for 971 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in eight career home games with Dallas.
Tight end Jason Witten has 1,642 career receiving yards against Philadelphia, which is the most versus a single opponent. Witten has also posted a receiving touchdown in the last four of his five games against NFC East opponents.
On the defensive side of the ball, defensive end Robert Quinn had two sacks last week and has recorded five sacks in the last four games. The last time he played against Philadelphia, he was playing with the Rams and recorded a sack. Since 2013, Quinn is the only player with 20 or more forced fumbles, recording 21. DeMarcus Lawrence has two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in his last three games against NFC East opponents. Linebacker Leighton Bander Esch led the team with 10 tackles last week and is going for his fourth game in a row with nine or more tackles. Lastly, cornerback Jourdan Lewis had his third career interception last week against the Jets.
