The Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders both look to bounce back following Week 4 losses to remain in the hunt in their respective divisions. Will the Packers pull out a road victory, or will the Raiders snap their three-game losing streak?
The Packers will face the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in this week’s edition of Monday Night Football. In Week 4, the Packers suffered a two-touchdown loss to the Lions while the Raiders fell to the Chargers. Both teams will look to establish the tempo early in this matchup after spending much of last week playing from behind.
Somewhat surprisingly, oddsmakers have listed the Raiders as slight favorites in the contest, possibly due to Jimmy Garoppolo’s expected return from concussion protocol. On the season, Garoppolo has completed 68.1 percent of his passes (64-94) for 709 yards, five touchdowns, six interceptions. He will undoubtedly rely on top target Davante Adams to get the offense going. Adams already has 33 catches on 50 targets for 397 yards and three touchdowns. Monday night could feature a revenge game from Adams, who spent his first eight seasons in Green Bay.
The Packers hope to get their run game going behind the effective duo of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon after only running the ball 12 times for 27 yards in Week 4. Jones, who has been nursing a hamstring injury since Week 1, saw limited action last week after missing two games. He expects to play a larger role in the game plan against the Raiders this week.

What To Watch For
Packers’ Offensive Line vs. Maxx Crosby and Raiders’ Front Seven
Green Bay has seen one of their strengths quickly devolve into a weakness as their offensive line has been banged up throughout the 2023 season. With David Bakhtiari out for the year, backup left tackle Rasheed Walker has struggled mightily. Maxx Crosby, who leads the Raiders in sacks (four), will look to lead the charge in getting after the quarterback. If the Raiders’ front seven fails to apply consistent pressure on Jordan Love, the young quarterback will likely have a field day against Vegas’ secondary, which has allowed an alarming 102.7 rating against wide receivers on the season.
Josh Jacobs vs. Packers’ Run Defense
After winning the rushing title in 2022, Josh Jacobs is looking to reassert himself as an elite NFL running back. Jacobs, who remains a threat in the passing game, acted as a security blanket for rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell last week (11 targets, eight receptions, 81 yards). However, Jacobs will especially look to build on his rushing performance in Week 4, where he scored his first rushing touchdown of 2023. Look for Jacobs to have a big game in Week 5 against the Packers’ run defense, which allowed 211 yards and three touchdowns against the Lions.
