Pacers focus off-season on adding roster depth

The Indiana Pacers already had a strong team going into free gency and added crucial pieces on July 1st. The Pacers, who many have predicted will be a high seed in the playoffs, have made their team even stronger with the addition of Justin Holiday.

Two All stars

The Pacers have had a terrific off-season.  They really bolstered there roster with talented shooters surrounding Victor Oladipo. Oladipo will be missing some time, but newly added Malcolm Brogdon is a great piece the Pacers added to their core.  When these two stars get on the court they will be a superstar duo in the eastern conference.

Strong supporting cast

The Pacers management has surrounded Oladipo, Brogdon, Domantis Sabonis and Myles Turner with a great supporting cast. Jeremy Lamb was a great addition to this Pacers roster this summer and the signing of Justin Holiday was key and filled up their remaining cap space.

Justin Holiday

In the most recent signing, Holiday joins his oldest brother Aaron Holiday on the Pacers. Holiday is just the piece the Pacers need. He is not an offensive machine but he did average 10.5 points per game and shot 44.7 percent from the field last year with the Bulls. With Doug McDermott on the Roster Holiday can earn a defense spot like a player such as Tony Snell with the Bucks and now the Pistons.

In conclusion the Pacers set themselves up for success with how they built up their roster this off-season. With the additions of Brogdon, Lamb, and now Holiday, the roster is set. They have great pieces for a deep playoff run.
