The Receiver Dallas Should be Most Focused on Keeping

Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver Michael Gallup is the third-youngest receiver to have 1,000 yards in a season in just 13 games this season.

Gallup is averaging 16.5 yards per reception. He has caught the ball 61 times on 106 targets. His season-long reception went for 61 yards. He averages 77.6 yards per game and has gained 279 yards after the catch.

Shockingly, Gallup, only has three touchdowns for the season. Quarterback Dak Prescott and Gallup have not found a way to gel while in the red-zone. For a receiver who is physical and can jump-up after the ball, this is something that needs to be figured out during the off-season.

Last season, Gallup only had 507 receiving yards with only 33 receptions during his rookie year. He has improved vastly and his mindset and character are exactly what the Cowboys need. He is not a diva and doesn’t make any negative noise on the sideline.

There are a lot of similarities between Gallup and former receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant replied in a tweet that he would accept a deal to return to the Cowboys if they offered him one. Bryant still holds the touchdown record with 73.

The Dallas Cowboys need help to make it to the playoffs this year. They need the Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) to lose to the New York Giants (4-11) Sunday and the Cowboys (7-8) have to beat the Washington Redskins (3-12).

This is a depressing outcry when the Cowboys had legit Super Bowl hopes at the beginning of the season.
