A name that’s often been mentioned in trade rumors is Victor Oladipo. It’s no secret that the guard wants to leave the Indiana Pacers. According to J. Michael of the Indystar, the Pacers guard has even asked opponents if he can play with them in front of teammates.
Victor Oladipo reportedly asked other teams “Can I come play with y’all?” in front of his Pacers teammates

Dating back to last season, Oladipo and the Pacers haven’t come close to an agreement in extension talks. The 28-year old is set to hit free agency after the 2020-21 season, but he hasn’t regained his 2018 All-Star form since suffering a devastating knee injury in January 2019. Oladipo averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game last season. In the series against the Miami Heat, Oladipo struggled to get to and finish at the rim.
Will he be Moved?
The Pacers guard has been linked to the Miami Heat, but Miami reportedly has cooled down on trading for him. Like other teams, Miami wants to see if he can regain his old form first. Additionally, Miami has its eyes on bigger targets like Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is set to become a free agent after the season. They’re not going to mess up their chances at a superstar by taking on a guy who’s a shell of himself.
It’s clear Oladipo’s time may be coming to an end in Indiana. But right now, the Pacers guard’s trade value has diminished. If Indiana is looking for a good return, they’re going to need Oladipo to show he can regain his all-star form. Otherwise, they either risk losing him for nothing or accepting a bad trade offer.
