It’s safe to say Northeastern may have shocked a few people Thursday.
The Huskies, behind 22 points and seven boards from Vasa Pusica, downed rival Harvard by the final score of 77-61.

Northeastern darted out to a 4-0 lead by the 18:51 mark of the first, and led 41-34 at the break.
The Crimson were able to claw their way back into it in the second, as a Justin Bassey layup sliced their deficit to 46-40 with 13:56 left. However, the Huskies responded with a 5-0 run – sparked by four points from Devon Begley – to extend their lead back to double digits and never looked back.
Northeastern shot 48.2 percent in the win, compared to Harvard’s 41.5 percent showing.
Harvard’s Bryce Aiken was the game’s leading scorer with 26 points.
This was Northeastern’s first win over Harvard since Dec. 2, 2015.
The Crimson look to get back on track on the road against No. 7 Kentucky (6-1) Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The Huskies will host Cornell (3-3) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
