No Bane, No Biggie

Inside the Arena confirmed a report that Jacksonville Sharks quarterback Johnathan Bane will be out “a few weeks” with a knee injury. The initial scare was an ACL tear, but it turned out it was not that serious, fortunately.

With the leader of the team out, some may expect the Sharks to take a step back in his absence. That’s not the case, however. The rest of their all-star team will keep them together.

They still have all their star receivers in tact. Devin Wilson has 11 touchdown receptions in the team’s five games. In just three games, Durron Neal has also been a big part to the offense with six touchdown receptions.

Cody Saul and Seth Ellis have been a dynamic duo on defense for the Sharks, as well. Saul leads the team with 29 total tackles and Ellis leads with four interceptions.

Nick Woodman has also been a big part to the defensive line. He is tied for the team lead with six tackles for loss and leads with 4.5 sacks in five games.

Jacksonville may be without Bane for a little while, but this team still has the ability to perform well and keep their win streak alive. They will need to rally around their star players on both sides of the ball.
