Virtually a full heaping of games on the docket tonight, 12 to be exact. Many ways to go about lineup construction, those of you who like cash games, you’ve come to the right place. Even though ownership will be high, these guys will be in good spots to succeed. Colorado/Ottawa, San Jose/Edmonton, and New Jersey at Philadelphia are the fixtures. Let’s get into it and go for a trip around the rink. Ice Picks are on the way!

San Jose Sharks(23-27-4) at Edmonton Oilers(28-19-6)

The Oilers will carry a 6-1-2 record built up from all of January and an equally impressive 4.11 GF/GM mark(2nd to the Panthers/4.40) into this home matchup.

The Sharks have improved slightly in the past month going 5-5-1 with a 3.18 GA/GM, A slight improvement to the season-long(fifth-worst) mark of 3.28.

The Sharks carry just a 9-14-3 road record and will soldier on without the services of their best forward, center Logan Couture who will be sidelined until mid-February with an ankle injury. They will also be without dynamic winger Tomas Hertl who is done for the season due to a knee injury.

Edmonton has really found their offensive groove of late, guess who is leading the charge? Yup, Mr. Connor McDavid. Seven goals, eight assists, 38 shots over his last 10 contests.

Pay attention to Josh Archibald as well, He carries a lower price tag and is flanking McDavid along with Zack Kassian on the wing. He has produced a point-a-game over his last six(3G,3A).

For some mid-range value, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is fully in play as well. He is churning out some good numbers alongside Leon Draisaitl all while getting prime PP minutes.

Colorado Avalanche(29-16-6) at Ottawa Senators(18-24-11)

Despite winning just five of their last ten games(5-3-2) the ‘Lanche are averaging a robust 3.89 GF/GM, fifth-best league-wide based off of last month. The Senators have been leaky all season long in their own end as indicated by their 27th ranked GA/GM mark of 3.28. They have secured just two victories throughout the last 10 games(2-2-6).

Andre Burakovsky is a great mid-priced option tonight. He is lighting it up over his last five with four goals and seven assists including a four-point night Tuesday in a 6-1 victory over the Sabres.

Samuel Girard profiles as a good value play to round out your defense. He has produced a modest goal and six assists to go along with 12 shots and eight blocks in his previous 10 games.

New Jersey Devils(18-24-10) at Philadelphia Flyers(29-17-7)

Here we get a team that excels on home ice in the Philly Flyers(18-4-4) against a team who has just three victories in their last 10 coupled with a goals-against per game mark of 3.50.

January has been even worse for Jersey as they trail only Detroit for the league’s worst GA/GM tally of 3.91.

Winger Joel Farabee and Jakub Voracek along with center Sean Couturier have been a very effective trio of late and are all reasonably priced. Couturier has 16 points over his last 13, Farabee has averaged a point-a-game in his last six while Voracek has chipped in a couple goals and a dish in his last four. Voracek and Couturier are third and fourth respectively for the team lead in season-long PP points. Voracek with 12 and Couturier with eight.
