NHL DFS DraftKings Ice Picks November 21st, 2019

Joel Dorcas |November 21st, 2019

We did fairly well in identifying top options on Tuesday, let’s see if we can repeat on another full 13 games in the NHL. Here are the games we will target: Edmonton at Los Angeles, Buffalo at Boston, Colorado at Minnesota and Pittsburgh at N.Y. Islanders. The Zamboni has cleaned the ice, let’s make some Ice Picks!

CORE MUST-HAVES ⭐

Connor McDavid EDM C $8,700

I had to do a double check on McDavid’s statistics over the last five games. It’s borderline astonishing, seven goals, nine assists and 20 shots on net. This is the league’s most special player in a groove and the Oilers will be in a good spot against a weak Kings team who ranks 29th in goals against per game at 3.57. Edmonton ranks 11th in goals for per game at 3.26 It will be a task shutting down this dynamic talent.

Brad Marchand BOS W $8,000

The Bruins are sure to benefit in hosting the struggling Buffalo Sabres who are just 2-8 over their last 10 games. They also are likely to get first-line center Patrice Bergeron back after a very brief absence due to a lower-body injury. The Bruins are climbing offensive ranks and are now fourth in the league in goals per game with 3.57. Marchand has three goals, four assists and 14 shots on net in his last five.

Nathan MacKinnon C COL $8,400

There is no doubt now, the Avalanche are one of the premier teams in the NHL. They have been without the services of stud forwards, Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog but are still reeling off victories. They have just one single loss in their last six games. The goal-scoring hasn’t stopped either as they rank second overall in goals for per game at 3.62. Their opponent, the Minnesota Wild rank 23rd in goals against per game yielding 3.33 per contest. Mackinnon is leading the way for the Avs in the last five games, four goals, five assists and 22 shots on net.

VALUE PlAYS

Ethan Bear EDM D $3,700

Bear has been a nice reliable player for the Oilers D core and as a result, is getting good minutes at just over 21 minutes per contest over his last five games. He also has three points, 5 shots, and 11 blocks during the chunk of games. The Oilers were winners the last time these two met, October 5th, 6-5. The Oilers are scoring goals at a higher clip in their last 10 averaging 3.8 per contest.

Zdeno Chara BOS D $4,200

“Big Z” still holds lots of value and is arguably the Bruins’ best defenceman. Chara leads the defensive group in goals(4) and shots(37) and is second in blocks(38). Chara doesn’t get much in powerplay time but fills the shot and block columns most nights while averaging nearly 22 minutes of ice per game.

Anthony Beauvillier W NYI $4,200

If we haven’t taken notice of this New York Islanders squad, it’s time to do so. The Isles have just one loss in their last 10 games and have popped 38 goals in the process. They have surpassed the Maple Leafs in goals for per game for a season-long mark of 3.26, good for twelfth. Beuvillier is one of many Islander contributors and is getting first-line powerplay time. He has five goals and 17 shots on target in his last five games.
